But it’s not looking so great for the lovebirds as next week on the soap Callum will tell Ben and Phil that the wedding venue has gone bust.

Ben is gutted when Callum adds their whole wedding will have to be cancelled – and grows determined to fix it.

Will he pull something out of the bag?

EastEnders viewers loved Callum and Ben’s heartfelt proposal storyline earlier this year which saw the pair clash as they asked the question to each other at the same time.

The gaffe aired after Ben spent hours with his daughter Lexi planning the most romantic proposal ever.

When Callum unexpectedly got down on one knee, Ben realised he was about to ruin everything and dashed off, telling him Lexi was going to kill him.

Callum was left baffled but all became clear when he reached The Prince Albert and Ben shouted down at him from the balcony, waving a bunch of flowers.

The couple then proposed to each other at the same time in emotional scenes and said yes.

Speaking about how he hoped they’d be able to film a ‘normal’ wedding scene with guests, actor Tony Clay told Digital Spy shortly after Ben and Callum's proposal aired: "In an ideal world, we'd love to do it as normal. We all want to get back to normal as soon as possible, where we're able to work without restrictions and hug each other again.

"That's what we want. Equally, the show has to move forward as well. It's like a juggernaut – it never, never stops.

"If there are restrictions in place, then we'll still make it brilliant. Either way, I'm looking forward to it."

He added: "I think for both Ben and Callum, it's just about them. They both have each other forever.

"But I think equally, when you're part of a big organised crime family, you've got to have one of the big houses on the street and one of the biggest weddings of the year! We'll see what happens."
