Emmerdale fans have been left with more questions than answers after a DNA bombshell was dropped on Chloe Harris on Friday's episode.
Kerry Wyatt told the teenager, who is thought to be 19, that she is her mother – just as pregnant Chloe was getting ready to leave the village for good.
Viewers have raised questions about the big reveal – but about her dad, rather than her mum. In particular, if Kerry is Chloe's real mother, does this mean Damon Harris is not Chloe's biological father?
In true Emmerdale nature, the details of Chloe's past are yet to be revealed, but The Mirror has looked into what we know so far.
Who is Chloe's dad in Emmerdale?
Chloe Harris was first introduced in 2021 as the sister of Gemma Harris, who was a donor for Sarah Sugden.
Gemma died in a car accident and Sarah was the recipient of Gemma's heart – which led her to come to the village to track her down and wanting to get to know her.
Chloe's mother was revealed to have died, while her dad was confirmed as a criminal named Damon Harris. Damon has never appeared on screen and remains in prison, but Chloe has visited him since joining the show.
But the truth over Chloe's maternity throws her family tree into doubt, sparking questions as to whether Damon really is Chloe's dad, as well as if he and Kerry had a romance.
If this isn't the case, Damon can't be Chloe's biological father, and someone else is.
Is Kerry really Chloe's mum?
Friday's (October 28) episode came to a shocking conclusion with the DNA twist just as Chloe was preparing to leave Emmerdale for good.
Kerry was determined she would not leave and asked the pregnant teen to reconsider.
As Chloe refused to back down, Kerry told her: "You can't go," to which Chloe replied: "Why? What is going on, why are you being so weird?"
Kerry went on: "Please don't hate me," as Chloe asked: "Why would I hate you?"
Kerry then dropped the major bombshell, announcing: "I should have said something sooner… I'm your mum."
It's not clear how Kerry could be Chloe's mother at the moment, or how they crossed paths again years later after Chloe tracked down the person who received her sister's heart.
If Chloe is Kerry's daughter, she will also be the half-sister of Amy Wyatt, Kerry's daughter – as well as being the aunt of Amy's son Kyle.
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV and ITV Hub, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
