Emmerdale fans ‘work out’ Sarah’s heart donor identity as Meena’s ‘first victim’

Emmerdale fans have donned their deerstalkers and picked up their magnifying glasses in an attempt to work out who Sarah Sugden's heart donor could be.

Since suffering a panic attack over her heart, Sarah has been doggedly attempting to discover the identity of her donor, even enlisting the help of Noah Dingle along the way.

And on Thursday night, Noah admitted he'd found an article online that could help with the search.

Speaking to Sarah at the bus stop, a reluctant Noah admitted: "It said a posh family in Leeds lost their daughter in a car crash."

"When?" Sarah pressed, as Noah replied: "The day of your operation."

But in what could be a huge twist, fans are sure that Meena could have been responsible for the donor – who Noah said was named Gemma Harris – having died.

She famously took her first victim in a carbon monoxide poisoning – while in a car.

And fans are sure that the paper might have gotten details wrong, with one pointing out on Facebook: "Just thought – Sarah's donor died in a car of some sort, well I saw something that said Meena talks to Sarah. Could the donor be the person who Meena killed?"

Others were quick to agree, with one pointing out: "Possibility with them all of a sudden bringing up Sarah's transplant! I just want Meena caught. I seriously don't like her character."

Another fan agreed: "Yes it could well be! I have never in my life seen as many coincidences happen as I have on Corrie and Emmerdale!"

"That would be some turn around if it was – wow, what a story!" someone else echoed.

But others weren't so sure – pointing out that carbon monoxide poisoning may have rendered the heart ineligible for transplant.

"The girl Meena murdered was found dead in her car after breathing in fumes… Not sure if heart transplant would be OK after those circumstances. But then again it is Soapland lol!" one fan pointed out.

Later in the episode, Sarah discovered that Gemma had a sister – Chloe Harris, who lives in Leeds.

But Noah urged her to exercise caution, as she "doesn't know who these people are".

Sarah, however, quickly located the email address for her donor's sister, and it isn't looking likely she'll heed Noah's words of warning.

But could there be an even more sinister twist in store for the youngster?

Emmerdale continues tomorrow at 7pm on ITV.
