EASTENDERS star Martha Cope is joining rival soap Emmerdale, The Sun can exclusively reveal.
The actress – who played Sandy Gibson in the BBC soap – will soon arrive in the village as part of a dramatic new storyline.
A source said: “Martha will appear later this year and kick off a huge storyline.
“She’s making a guest appearance but she has an unmatched soap pedigree so she’s bound to impress fans.”
Actress Martha left her role as Dotty Cotton’s mother Sandy in EastEnders in December 2021.
The drug addict had arrived in October and caused chaos for her daughter, even lying about who her biological father was.

And a year later she made several appearances in Coronation Street – following in her parents’ footsteps – as Joanne, an obsessed date of Kevin Websters.
