Emmerdale spoilers: Ellis Chapman left to die on the freezing moors by vengeful Cain Dingle

THE Chapman family is set for another nasty surprise in an upcoming episode of Emmerdale.

Al's nasty feud with the Dingles takes a turn as Cain targets his son Ellis (Aaron Anthony), leaving him for dead.

In recent weeks, the businessman played by Michael Wildman has pushed many buttons on his way to sabotage and turn The Woolpack into luxury flats.

He has notably been seen taunting Chas (Lucy Pargeter) on many occasions, ever since he invested in the famous pub.

His attempts are mainly provoked by his shady business partner, Gavin, who financed his projects.

But while fans speculated that the TV villain portrayed by Ben Richards would take his frustrations out on Al's son Ellis, as payback for not getting his due, it turns out the main threat was right under Al's nose.

In a new Emmerdale episode expected on screens in the New Year, Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) will be taking his feud with Al to the next level with a shocking move against Ellis.

After Cain and Moira decide to leave for a night out, the former's son Kyle (Huey Quinn) is left with Belle who asks Ellis to tag along as the two have been growing closer.

While Cain is far from delighted to see Al's son, he gives him a simple warning about how the evening should go.

AL'S PLAN

Al Chapman brutally attacked as he's forced to make horrifying decision

The night turns deadly when Priya summons Ellis, which prompts him to leave Belle and Kyle out in hypothermic conditions, following a key mixup.

The 10-year-old barely makes it and is led to hospital.

This leaves his father Cain extremely worried and angry. In a fit of rage, he blames Ellis and decides to teach him a lesson for dashing off to see Priya.

After ordering Marlon to evict the 24-year-old from Tall Tree, kick-starting a war between the Dingles and the Chapmans, Cain concocts a plan.

That same night, Cain finds Ellis and abandons him out on the moors as retribution for Kyle's hospitalisation.

The young man is left freezing and curled up on the ground with bloodied and bare feet.

Worried about his son's whereabouts when he doesn't show up to the B&B, Al finds out he was last spotted with Cain.

The two men, who have never seen eye to eye, have a turbulent confrontation, with Al accusing Cain of harming Ellis and, in another upcoming scene, Al isn't shy to implicitly threaten Kyle.

What will come of Ellis as the war between both families worsens?
