Viewers of the popular ITV soap who tuned in on Friday believed that while Samson Dingle (played by Sam Hall) was discussing with Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley) the fact that someone had stolen a van, they heard him say “s***”. The surprising Emmerdale moment came as the youngster asked: “Who’d nick that shed?” But it sounded as though he had used a swear word. Baffled viewers took to Twitter to question what had been said during the scene.

Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson) had taken the van to follow evil Meena Jutla (Paige Sandhu) after becoming suspicious of her behaviour.

As the villagers tried to work out why the van had been taken, Samson seemed to ask: “Who would nick that s***?”

It came as Sam Dingle (James Hooton) stormed into the cafe, stating: “The van’s gone!”

“What?” Noah Dingle (Jack Downham) asked as Mandy Dingle watched on, surprised.

“Someone must have nicked it!” Sam yelled as they tried to work out the mysterious disappearance.

Mandy asked: “Were your keys inside?”

“Might have been,” he admitted sheepishly as Mandy replied: “Dipstick.”

“Who’s going to nick that shed?” Samson interjected.

Unfortunately, many viewers misheard the comment.

Twitter user Mike asked: “Did the kid on #Emmerdale just say ‘s***’ or am I hearing things?”

PennG0VQY commented: “Did I just hear him say ‘who’s going to nick that s***?’ #Emmerdale.”

“DID SAMSON JUST SAY S***?!?! #Emmerdale,” Emma shared.

Ann-Marie Park penned: “Did they just say that s***? #emmerdale.”

Just Marc added: “Haha, thought Samson said ‘Who is gonna knick that s***’ not shed XD #Emmerdale.”

Sir Beanz also posted: “Thought Samson said s*** there #Emmerdale”

“#emmerdale did Samson just say S**T?” Chris Henderson chimed.

Dion questioned: “Did he say Nick that s***? #Emmerdale

Reece Carter simply asked: “Shed or s***? #Emmerdale.” (sic)

It appears the character likely said “shed”, but confused viewers weren’t pleased by the unclear dialogue during a 7pm programme.

Emmerdale continues on Monday at 7pm on ITV.
