Good Morning Britain host Susanna Reid had plenty to say to Nadhim Zahawi on Thursday morning's show as she made a subtle swipe at the Education Secretary.
He joined the panel via video link to discuss the education of young people and plans for schools – and just as he went to leave, Ben Shephard realised he wanted to ask about his karaoke song.
Luckily, despite waving off Nadhim, he was still on the panel and was able to respond – though he confessed he doesn't actually have one.
He told the hosts that he doesn't really do karaoke, adding: "With a voice like mine I would avoid karaoke completely."
Ben responded: "So you don't have a go-to karaoke?"
Which immediately saw Susanna chirp: "We Don't Need No Education? No? Another Brick In The Wall?"
Ben, Susanna and Nadhim all began sniggering, while Kate Garraway was heard laughing in the background.
It has been previously stated that the meaning behind Another Brick In The Wall is regarding authority figures being people's "bricks in the walls", which certainly sparked laughter amongst the hosts.
Despite the subtle swipe, Nadhim kept in high spirits as he confessed that the Pink Floyd track was one of his favourites when he was at school.
Turning the conversation serious once again, he said: "That was my favourite song when I was at school, once I learned the language.
"I came here when I was 11 and I couldn't speak a word of English. I had parents who really valued education and I want the system to work for the 11-year-olds. That's my target.
"On that journey, data, transparency, information and evidence will, I hope, deliver that."
Nadim became Secretary of State for Education in September 2021 after replacing Gavin Williamson following the Prime Minister's cabinet reshuffle.
After a month in the job, Nadhim joined GMB with Susanna and Ben to discuss education going forward.
It comes shortly after Susanna has been praised for holding MPs to account in recent appearances on GMB, with multiple ministers being welcomed onto the show in recent weeks.
GMB continues weekdays at 6am on ITV.
