Paul Hollywood has admitted that he is "p****d off" for putting on 12lbs during filming for the upcoming series of The Great British Bake Off.
Speaking in a new candid interview ahead of the 2021 season's start date on Tuesday, Paul, 55, also said that it was "ridiculous" that co-judge Prue Leith, 81, only put on 1lb.
Paul admitted that he was annoyed about his weight gain as he had just lost a stone and a half just before filming started due to a new fitness regime where he cycled for at least 10 miles at a time.
Speaking to Love Sunday magazine, he said: "I put on 12 pounds in that b****y tent. Prue put on a pound! A pound during Bake Off? That’s ridiculous.
"All I wanted to do was go home to try and lose the weight again! I am p****d off this year for the first time about it, because I was doing really well.
"Lockdown was doing me good, not bad. But my exercise regime changed when I was in Bake Off because I wasn’t allowed to leave the bubble to cycle."
Paul added that as well as being unable to do his 10 mile cycles, he was also "locked in his room writing a book" on the show's rest days which resulted in him "getting back into old habits".
The judge insisted that he is now "back on it again" and that he has already lost a "good couple of pounds this week".
Earlier this month, the full line-up for GBBO 2021 was revealed by Channel 4 ahead of the show's return on Tuesday 21 September.
A total of 12 new contestants will be heading into the baking tent to wow judges Paul and Prue as well as presenters Noel Fielding, 48, and Matt Lucas, 47.
The competition was filmed in a bubble once again as the Covid-19 pandemic continues to rage across the globe, and the entire series was pre-recorded.

Paul teased that the standard of baking was "certainly the highest I've ever encountered" in the newest series, which features a police detective, a retired midwife and nurse as well as a vegan psychology student.
The Great British Bake Off returns on Tuesday 21 September at 8pm on Channel 4.
