Hollyoaks reveals exit drama for Juliet as she receives big news

Juliet Nightingale (Niamh Blackshaw) will receive big news about her cancer treatment in Hollyoaks next week, prompting a trip with girlfriend Peri Lomax (Ruby O’Donnell).

The popular character, who was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma, has been undergoing intense treatment to fight the disease, which consultants have branded ‘aggressive’.

A stem cell transplant is needed, as is additional treatment, with Juliet determined to fight with every fibre of her being.

Next week proves to be a big one for this storyline, as James (Gregory Finnegan), desperate to save his sister, informs Juliet that a private clinic in Germany is willing to provide her with the stem cell transplant – but she has little time to decide if she wants it or not.

Juliet subsequently receives some good news which changes everything, as she plans for a trip to receive her treatment with Peri, which leaves Donna-Marie Quinn (Lucy-Jo Hudson) crushed, as she was hoping to go with her.

Juliet is feeling optimistic about what lies ahead and subsequently has a discussion with Peri about their plans for the future, with the couple deciding to sneak off – without saying goodbye to anyone.

Leela Lomax (Kirsty Leigh Porter), meanwhile, is determined to cheer Donna-Marie up, and thus suggests a party for Juliet and Peri so that they can be waved off in celebratory fashion.

Can she convince the girls to stay and say proper goodbyes to their loved ones?

That remains to be seen, but subsequent scenes will see Donna-Marie continue to struggle, with the recovering alcoholic later turning to the booze.

One to watch: Tuesday April 4 at 7pm on E4.
