Joanna Page has revealed that she and her Gavin & Stacey co-stars are reuniting for a new television show.

Fans of the hit BBC sitcom have been hoping for a reunion ever since the last Christmas special episode aired in 2019.

The show originally ran for three series between 2007 and 2010 before returning for a one-hour special nine years later.

As viewers will remember, the Christmas episode ended on a cliffhanger when Nessa (Ruth Jones) popped the question to Smithy (James Corden) right at the end of the show.

And now, actress Joanna, 46, who plays Stacey, has finally revealed that the cast of the show are in fact reuniting.

Joanna is joining forces with her on-screen in-laws Larry Lamb and Alison Steadman – who play Gavin’s parents Mick and Pam Shipman – for an upcoming TV series.

She is providing the voiceover for a new travel series – which will see the telly legend’s journey from Barry to Billericay.

It’s the first hint that a reunion of the full cast could on the cards as James Corden has recently returned to the UK after spending years in the US.

Joanna told The Sun that she hopes the new travel show could spark a full reunion with the cast.

She said: “That would be so lovely. When we all first started it was like an instant family.

“We’re all still constantly in touch with each other, my gosh we send each other so many messages. We struggle to even make time for our own families.

“But then I agree, we have GOT to find out what Smithy says to Nessa!”

In the new three-part series, Alison & Larry: Billericay To Barry, the show alum’s will take a trip down memory lane – while meeting up with some special guests along the way.

In June, Alison and Larry sparked a frenzy while filming the new travel show.

A spokesperson said of the show: "Alison and Larry will make the 210-mile journey while stopping off at beauty spots in the glorious countryside.

“They also visit locations that have an intimate connection to them and 'Gavin and Stacey.' "
