Former Man Utd transfer target set for loan move to Premier League new-boys Burnley with medical booked in | The Sun

PREMIER LEAGUE new boys Burnley are reportedly on the brink of signing a former Manchester United target.

Soumaila Coulibaly, 19, was once in the Red Devils’ sights after impressing at Paris Saint-Germain’s academy.

But he snubbed the chance to move to Old Trafford by instead joining Borussia Dortmund in 2021.

However, Coulibaly is finally set for a Premier League transfer — only this time to Burnley.

The BBC claims the Championship winners have booked a medical for Coulibaly ahead of a season-long loan.

And Vincent Kompany’s side will then be obliged to sign the teenage centre-back permanently for £15million next summer.

Coulibaly made just one Bundesliga appearance for Dortmund during his two years in Germany.

And he could arrive as a replacement for loan star Taylor Harwood-Bellis, who is hoping for a shot with Manchester City after captaining England’s U21s to glory at the Euros.

Coulibaly will be Burnley’s fifth signing of the summer, with Kompany already moving for another two centre-backs.

Jordan Beyer’s move from Borussia Monchengladbach has been made permanent.
