Kate Ferdinand shares sweet new snap of baby girl Shae and opens up about miscarriage pain | The Sun

KATE Ferdinand has shared a sweet new snap of her baby girl Shae while opening up about her historic miscarriage pain.

Former Towie star Kate, 32, revealed last year that she and her husband Rio, 44, had suffered a heartbreaking miscarriage 12 weeks into a pregnancy.

They've since welcomed their second child together – one week old Shae – and were already parents to Cree, two.

In her latest Instagram post, a make-up free Kate kissed the newborn's forehead and wrote a heartfelt caption.

She penned, "22.7.22. This day last year we went for our 12 week scan and realised I’d had a miscarriage. The pain was numbing I honestly didn’t know how I’d cope.

"22.7.23. I’m feeding my beautiful 12 day old baby girl Shae.

A year ago, Kate announced she had suffered a "devastating" miscarriage with her second child in an emotional caption to her Instagram following.

"The last time I was in this hospital I was having Cree, but this time it was because our baby had no heartbeat in our 12-week scan and I had to have surgery," Kate penned.

"We were so excited & planning a space for our new baby in our family, we just couldn’t wait to share our news with you all, but unfortunately sometimes life just doesn’t go as we plan.

"So much to say, but somehow I can’t find the words. Absolutely devastated and heartbroken."

Kate and Rio married in 2019 and co-parent the ex footballer's three children with his late first wife Rebecca Ellison, 16-year-old Lorenz, 14-year-old Tate and 11-year-old Tia.
