Love Islander exposes fiery off-air row which was triggered by ‘game plan’

Love Island's Zara Deniz Lackenby-Brown had an off-air row with Tom Clare in the villa.

The bombshell said it was at the time when the pair were getting close to one another and it was sparked by his "jealousy".

Zara told us: "There was an argument Tom and I had.

"He said I was chatting to Shaq to try to make him jealous. But to me, it just showed me how much he did like me, as he was getting really jealous.

"They didn't air it, but I didn't understand why as it showed a lot of context as to why we started to fizzle out.

"Me and him were so great all day we were talking about going to Dubai together… And a lot of people didn't understand why we stopped talking.

"But after that, I was so over it, men who I chat to don't speak to me like that…"

Zara also claimed Islanders are sometimes told by producers to wear the same swimwear two days in a row.

The TV star explained how producers would want to "continue" chats from the day before, once the Islanders had their days off.

Zara explained: "So we have the occasional evening off and then we might get a McDonald's, and if we filmed in the morning, they'd then separate the boys and the girls and then we have our evening off.

"We'd do our nails whatever and just hold the chat, don't speak about the show, and just talk about the outside world.

"Then the next day, we would put the same bikinis on and be made to have our hair exactly the same, and then carry on for continuation."

The TV beauty also confessed that she was pleased with how she conducted herself on the show and was glad viewers saw her "true colours".

Zara said: "Yeah, I think with my season, a lot of people just liked to pussyfoot around. I just say things straight up and I just think it's easier because you're being transparent.

"Whereas, I think a lot of people would just like to do things behind people's backs instead. My season was a bit odd.

"There weren't a lot of people that I think for me were, like-minded.

"But I'm really glad that the audience saw me for my true colours, because I am like this, I'm honest, and I'm very kind too."

Love Island airs nightly on ITV2 and ITVX at 9pm
