Love Is Blind’s Lauren admits she ‘got scared and closed off’ ahead of whirlwind Netflix wedding – The Sun

NETFLIX'S Love is Blind proved its title to be true, as Lauren Speed and Cameron Hamilton instantly fell in love after talking to each other behind a wall.
The show features 30 men and women who are trying to find love – however, they must interact in a speed-dating format in pods, separated by a barrier so they cannot see each other.

After the fifth pod date, Lauren and Cameron decided it was time to tie the knot, even though they hadn’t actually seen in each other in the flesh.

On screen their relationship seemed to be picture perfect, but Lauren has admitted she had her fair share of doubts.

She spoke to People magazine about the fears she had during the run up to the wedding.

"After we had left Mexico and started sharing a space and living together, I found myself kind of fighting myself," she explained.

"The timeline for the marriage — I was getting scared. It’s legally binding. So I did go through a time in my mind when I was like, 'Am I really ready?' And I closed off a little bit in some ways."

Even though Lauren was getting cold feet, her man never did. Cameron insisted that there were "no roadblocks" to their romance.

Fortunately the trouble in paradise proved to be short lived, as Lauren has since confirmed their current relationship status.

‘’Oh my God. We’re so happy. It’s just, like, every day we learn more and more about each other, and we honestly fall more and more in love with each other’,’ she gushed.

Fans can rest easy knowing one of their favourite couples aren’t heading towards divorce anytime soon.

Meanwhile Love is Blind boss Chris Coelen hinted that there may be a season 2 in the works.

‘‘I think it’s safe to say we’ll be seeing people put to the test of whether love is blind well into the future. That’s what I would certainly hope for," he said.

He also said that a UK series was on the cards.

Speed's confession comes after fans found an image of another Love Is Blind contestant, Amber Pike with a dead deer on a hunting trip.

Season one of Love Is Blind is available to stream on Netflix now.
