Love Island star signs secret six figure deal after fast fashion backlash on show | The Sun

LOVE Island star Ella Thomas has landed a big fashion deal with PrettyLittleThing.

The stunning Scottish model has been picked from this year’s stars to front campaigns after impressing bosses.

An insider said: “PLT weren’t sure if they would sign anyone this year but Ella seemed like an obvious choice.

“Everyone loved what she wore on the show and she’s already a model so it works really well.

“It’s all being kept hush hush for the time being, but everyone is really excited and it's thought she's got a nice six figure deal.”

In recent years Love Island has snubbed using fast fashion brands to dress the singletons and have instead opted to use Ebay.

A number of stars have gone on to work with the pre-loved fashion company instead  – including Tasha Ghouri and Tom Clare.

Gabby Jeffery– a creative assistant for PLT – who appeared as a bombshell on Love Island this series recently admitted she wasn’t sure if anyone would get a contract.

Gabby told Johnny Seifert on Secure The Insecure Podcast: "I do think like when, obviously when, we signed Molly Mae that was like the right person, right time, because the show was peak popularity and Islanders' families were still allowed to use their Instagram.

"So we were getting those followers and she was really getting a lot of attention from her fashion so I think like it made sense then.

"And even like last year with like Gemma and Indiya, I guess still, like they were getting big followings on Instagram and I think you could already see now like the difference in Instagram followers and social media followers to last."

She added: "I guess it's whether the brand want sign someone for the sake of doing it or actually do it if it's gonna, like, make sense.

"I feel like, for me, personally, if I was making that decision this year, probably not.

"Maybe not like a big contract, maybe like a smaller one, like brand ambassador or like, something like that.

"I think because the show's not as big, it doesn't make sense to give a big, big contract."

Ella came third on Love Island with her now boyfriend Tyrique Hyde. They were the only couple to be together from the start and viewers loved watching their rocky journey.

PLT has been contacted for comment.
