The concept of police drama Professor T is based on a Belgium series with Koen De Bouw portraying the man himself. This time around though, it’s Death in Paradise actor Ben Miller who has taken on the role. The six-part series will air a new episode every Sunday night on ITV.

The first episode of Professor T aired tonight, Sunday, July 18, on ITV.
In this episode entitled The Anatomy of a Memory, a young woman was raped on the university campus.
This led to the investigation of a serial rapist as another woman was subsequently attacked.
DCI Lisa Donkers knew exactly the right man who could help though and welcomed Professor T to the team to help narrow down who the suspects were.
Leading the team investigating the series of crimes is Inspector is Ma’am Christina Brand.
There appears to be history between herself and Professor T with the show hinting towards a romantic relationship gone wrong.
The last text the professor received from Christina before they got back in touch was her saying she never wanted to see him again.
So with them now working closely together, could they soon rekindle what they once had?
Who is Juliet Aubrey?
Christina is portrayed by actress Juliet Aubrey who has been in a plethora of shows and films during her career of almost three decades.
She first gained national recognition for her work when she won the 1995 BAFTA TV Award for Best Actress for playing Dorothea in the BBC serial Middlemarch
Since then, she has been in Extremely Dangerous, Dalziel and Pascoe, Criminal Justice, Silent Witness, The White Queen and Snatch.
Some viewers will remember her best for starring in one particular ITV drama.

Aubrey played Helen Cutter in Primeval, the series where anomalies ripped multiple holes in the fabric of time and space to allow dinosaurs into the present day.
She was the ex-wife of Nick Cutter (Douglas Henshall) who also had an affair with his best friend and colleague Stephen Hart (James Murray).
Aubrey was in the drama for all four years until it came to an end in 2011.
The 54-year-old will return for the rest of Professor T which continues next week.
The second episode of Professor T will air on Sunday, July 25, on ITV.
Entitled A Fish Called Walter, the synopsis reads: “There is a poisoning at a reception.
“The police start to think that the real target is a civil servant who forged an environmental report who also was present at the reception.
“Due to the forged report, the daughter of a young family is very sick in hospital.
“The child’s father might have something to do with the death.”
