On Saturday’s Strictly Come Dancing, hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman were back to present the final of the BBC competition. The professional dancers opened the show with a stunning dance routine, although, when Tess and Claudia introduced the judges to the stage, Shirley Ballas almost fell over.

On Saturday night, Rose Ayling-Ellis went head-to-head with John Whaite in the Strictly Come Dancing final.

According to the latest odds from the bookmakers, Rose and her dancer partner Giovanni Pernice are the favourites to win the BBC competition.

Meaning, John and Johannes Radebe will miss out on lifting the Glitterball Trophy.

Ladbrokes claim Rose and Giovanni have odds of 1/9 in the betting to win the show.

John is close behind the soap star with odds of 8/1. Before AJ dropped out, the bookies predicted AJ and Kai would have come in third place.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “Record-breaking Rose is a shoo-in for this year’s Glitterball Trophy.

“With the odds suggesting John will take the second podium spot.”
