Spoilers: James kisses Danny after he comes out as gay in Corrie

James Bailey (Nathan Graham) faced a zoom (zoom, not room), full of journalists in tonight’s Coronation Street as he was questioned about his personal life following a promotion.

Danny’s (Dylan Brady) return was a pleasant surprise for James this week but catching up over lunch, James told Danny they’d have to keep their relationship a secret if they were to give things another go.

With the press conference looming, James’ apprehension wasn’t helped when he found pictures online of him and Danny, along with some derogatory comments about his sexuality.

Taking the stage at the conference, James faced a sea of questions by the journalists.

James looked to Michael (Ryan Russell), Ed (Trevor Michael Georges) and a returning Aggie (Lorna Laidlaw) for strength and decided to announce to the press that he’s gay.

James was asked more questions, but he took them in his stride and returning home, young Joseph, Steve (Simon Gregson) and Tim (Joe Duttine) all made sure the footballer knew how proud everyone was of him.

To make James’ day even better, Danny surprised him outside, and the two of them shared a kiss in front of the applauding, happy Weatherfield residents.

What a wonderful moment!
