Strictly fans flustered as hidden mic ‘exposes’ star’s cheeky comment to Ellie

Strictly Come Dancing fans were left feeling flustered after hearing Vito Coppola’s cheeky comment via a secret mic.

The Italian dancer, 31, is one of many strutting their stuff for this year’s series of the BBC One show. Partnered up with Coronation Street Ellie Leach, the pair have been setting the dance floor on wire in recent weeks.

At the weekend, Vito and Ellie put on a jaw-dropping performance of a samba to the Barry Manilow classic, Copacabana. Their routine went down well with the judges who scored the pair a 7, making their score for the week 28.

However, on Wednesday (October 18) Strictly released this week's hidden mics clip. These recordings pick up what each dance pairing is saying as they hit the ballroom.

And it’s fair to say what Vito was saying on the dance floor got plenty of Strictly fans hot under the collar. In the clip, Ellie and Vito can be seen busting out their moves.

With his hot pink shirt ripped open, Vito flashed the flesh as he moved across the dance floor. With the two getting closer together, he then passionately shouted out: “Come on baby!.”

Rushing to the comments section of the post, fans went wild over Vito’s comment. One follower said: “More shirtless Vito, please, oh yes baby.”

Someone else chimed in and penned: “Love how Vito always calls Ellie baby.” A third quipped: “Come on baby !!! @vitocoppola.” Another added: “@vitocoppola come on baby,” along with a wink face and fire emoji.

It comes after Ellie has shared her love for her professional partner Vito and shared her only hope for the show. Speaking to Daily Star at the Pride of Britain Awards, Ellie confessed that the main person she wants to impress is her partner.

She said: "I'm having the best time, honestly. My feet are full of blisters but we're having so much fun. We've had some really good scores and wonderful comments and Vito works really hard on the choreography and teaching me. He's an amazing teacher, so I'm just hoping that I'm doing him proud."

Ellie's primary focus on making Vito proud left her disappointed in herself during their latest performance. The pair opened up the show with a Samba to Copacabana, and despite still getting good scores, they had some critical comments.

The duo were told that it was a "really good performance" overall, but Shirley Ballas noted that she'd made a little mistake while Anton Du Beke told her to "turn her legs out more". The pair still scored 28 points after getting four sevens, but it was the first time they haven't been in the top three.

Speaking after the performance, Ellie said: "I felt really nervous to open the show. I just feel a little bit emotional, sorry."

She then turned to Vito and said: "I just feel like I let you down a little bit." But Vito was thrilled with her and told Ellie she "did amazing".
