Strictly fans left fuming at BBC’s Dan Walker as he ‘spoils’ who went home on Sunday night

FUMING Strictly fans have accused BBC star Dan walker of spoiling who went home on Sunday night.

BBC Breakfast host Dan, 44, shared his disappointment on Instagram last night over rugby ace Ugo Monye getting the boot – just as the results show ended at 8pm.

He'd written alongside a photo of Ugo and pro dancer Oti Mabuse: "Gutted that @ugomonye is the latest to leave the ballroom.

"He’s been the glue which has held us all together over the last few weeks.
Take care of that back big man. See you soon.

"I know @rocketrhys will come back stronger too #Strictly"

The post left some scrolling through Instagram hopping mad, and they aired their frustrations in the comments.

One person replied: "Be helpful if you put a spoiler alert first!!! FFs!!"

Another added: "So sad when everything needs to be on social media….let people watch in their own time…..silence is golden?."

And a third wrote: "We don't all watch live Dan ??."

However others defended the contestant, and one fought back: "If you don't watch the Sunday edition when it's televised WHY are you looking through social media as you are bound to know all the strictly celebrities/ dancers post how they got on !!"

Another said: "All these comments about Dan letting the cat out of the bag. Simple answer is, don't look at social media until you've watched. Onus is on you not to look, not on everyone else to not say anything. It's not all about you."

Ugo and pro partner Oti Mabuse were sent home after going up against Rhys Stephenson and pro partner Nancy Xu.

While former rugby champ Ugo, 38, had a difficult week on the BBC dance show, kids TV presenter Rhys, 27, has been consistently near the higher end of the leader-board.

He has wowed judges and viewers alike with his skills on the dance floor since the very first week – and last night was no exception.

In fact, head judge Shirley Ballas was stunned that he was in the bottom two, calling him a "rising star" as she reacted: "This is why voting is so important.

"I'm absolutely in shock that you are in the bottom two, you turned in a very, very good performance when you danced."

And viewers couldn't agree more, sharing their anger over his spot in the dance-off.

Taking to social media, one fan wrote: "Not saying @bbcstrictly voters are a bit racist but…"

Another echoed: "Why is Rhys in the bottom two on #Strictly? He's absolutely amazing.

"Was there a racist block vote to push him out? Seriously, I can't think of any other reason for him getting so few votes."

Others pointed out that Rhys and Ugo's fall to the bottom came after Judi Love was in the dance-off two weeks in a row.
