Strictly Come Dancing airs on BBC One and the semi-final will see the four remaining couples take to the floor. They will have the added pressure of tackling two routines this weekend, as the Glitterball Trophy is in sight. Express.co.uk has all you need to know about who is at the top of the leaderboard as the results come in.

Who is at the top of the Strictly leaderboard?

AJ Odudu and Kai Widdrington –

TV presenter AJ and her professional partner Kai found themselves in the dreaded dance-off last week.

Pushing themselves a little too far, they attempted a final lift that ended up being a “dancefloor disaster”.

This weekend they will be back with a bang, taking on both a Rumba and Quickstep.

The Rumba is renowned for being a technically challenging dance, so will they be in danger again?

They will be performing the routine to Show Me Heaven by Maria McKee.

Their Quickstep will be to Sing, Sing, Sing by Benny Goodman.

Rose Ayling-Ellis and Giovanni Pernice –

EastEnders actress Rose and her professional partner Giovanni continue to be the bookies’ favourites to win.

They executed a daring routine extremely well and remain in a good position leading into the final.

Tonight, they will be dancing the Argentine Tango to A Evaristo Carriego by Eduardo Rovira.

Their second routine will be a Waltz to How Long Will I Love You by Ellie Goulding.

Rose took to Instagram to share her excitement ahead of her next routine, saying she “cannot believe” she has reached the semi-final.

John Whaite and Johannes Radebe –

Bake Off star John and his partner Johannes will be making every effort to get back on track this week.

They too suffered a mistake at the end of last week’s routine, which resulted in Johannes landing awkwardly on the floor.

However, they both made light of the situation and will be giving it their all tonight.

They will be dancing a Jive to Higher Power by Coldplay, followed by their Couple’s Choice routine to Hometown Glory by Adele.

John took to Instagram to share his gratitude, saying: “Thank you, thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart for voting @johannesradebe and me through to the semi finals.

“We are enjoying every second and whatever happens from this moment, YOUR support and YOUR kindness and YOUR love is something I’ll cherish forever.”

Rhys Stephenson and Nancy Xu –

CBBC presenter Rhys and his partner Nancy finally found themselves back on top form last week.

The judges fell in love with their dramatic Argentine Tango and they were thrilled to have avoided the bottom two.

Tonight they will be taking on a Samba to It Had Better Be Tonight by Michael Bublé and a Tango to One Vision by Queen.

Rhys will have to maintain a perfect top line if he is to secure a place in the final.

He shared a photo of himself and Nancy with the message: “From the bottom of my heart THANK YOU! I could’ve lived in that moment forever?

“This journey is a testament to what you can do if you just keep going and trusting, it only ends when you say so.

“To all of you who have supported us from the start thank you for always believing in us and for those of you who voted for us for the first time thank you for taking a chance on us.

“I’m sitting on an Argentinian cloud and I’m not coming down!”

Rose is still the bookies favourite to win, with odds of 1/5, ahead of AJ at 7/1.

As for who will be eliminated next, sadly Rhys is the favourite to leave on Sunday, with odds of 8/15.

Of course, the public could change everything as the contestants’ fates are ultimately left in their hands.

Strictly Come Dancing returns for the results show on Sunday, on BBC One.
