Strictly's Molly Rainford breaks down in tears after landing in the bottom two for second time | The Sun

STRICTLY Come Dancing star Molly Rainford broke down in tears as she was found herself in the bottom two once again.

The BGT finalist, 21, was forced to take part in the dreaded dance off against paralympic swimming champion Ellie Simmonds despite impressing the judges with her foxtrot on Saturday evening.

Molly couldn’t hold back her tears as she and partner Carlos Gu received a pep talk from the judges before hitting the dance floor.

As host Tess Daly hugged her, Craig Revel Horwood said: “Don’t let emotions and nerves get the better of you. Think about what you achieved on Saturday and repeat it.

“I know that you are more than capable of doing that darling. So wipe the tears away, get back on that horse.”

Molly and Carlos then performed their foxtrot to You Make Me Happy by My Sun and My Stars again, which saw them land 35 points during the live show, with Shirley Ballas describing it as the "epitome of style and sophistication".

After both couples had danced for a second time, it was a unanimous decision by the judges to save Molly, sending Ellie packing.

Craig said: "Well the couple I'd like to save are a couple that I think danced better than they did on Saturday night in this particular dance-off, and that couple is Molly and Carlos."

Motsi Mabuse praised both couples, saying they "danced exceptionally well", and Anton Du Beke said it was a "terrific dance-off", but both felt Molly and Carlos had the edge.

With three votes to Molly and Carlos, it meant they had won the majority vote and would be staying in the competition regardless, but head judge Shirley also said she would have saved the pair.

She said: "Well it was one of the best dance-offs I think I've ever seen, but again the performance was a little bit stronger in this dance-off and I would have awarded it to Molly and Carlos."
