Strictly Come Dancing is back on BBC One for the fan-favourite Halloween special and the couples are excited to hit the dancefloor again. The competition is close and at this stage, it is a tough call as to who will land themselves in the bottom two. Professional dancer Gary Edwards exclusively to Express.co.uk about Sara and Aljaz being in the dance-off.

Dragons’ Den star Sara Davies has impressed the judging panel so far, landing herself at the top of the leaderboard on two occasions.

She wowed the professionals with her flawless Tango and stunning Foxtrot, but her Latin dances have not been as up to scratch.

She is still one of the favourites to storm ahead in the competition, but professional dancer and judge Gary Edwards said she could be at risk.

The Dancing With The Stars and World of Dance star said: “I would probably say they are going to be in jeopardy soon.

“I think her range is running out. I think Sara and Aljaz are probably going to be in trouble soon.”

Speaking about her Rumba last week, he said: “Maybe to look at a non-dancer and the progress she has made – that’s amazing, the achievement is amazing.

“But as a dance, I would use the word ‘nice’ and if I use the word ‘nice’ most of the people I teach would run.

“Simply because you don’t want to be nice, you need to be more than that.

“Because, for me, this is quite an equal year, you can’t just keep putting ‘nice’ out there.

“I’m sure she would carry on every week putting out the same level of performance.

“So for her, it’s really a case of the clock ticking down on her, she’s got to be at risk.

“For me, she would have gone definitely before Oti [Mabuse] and Ugo [Monye].

Ugo and Oti were up against CBBC presenter Rhys Stephenson and his partner Nancy Xu in the latest dance-off.

The judges were shocked to see Rhys and Nancy in the bottom two, as they have performed brilliantly throughout the competition.

For Halloween week, Sara and Aljaz will be performing a couple’s choice dance to Queen of the Night by Whitney Houston.

On the most recent leaderboard, the pair found themselves second-last, with 25 points.

However, the week prior, they were right at the top with an impressive score of 36 out of 40.

The couple were top of the leaderboard for two weeks, as they smashed the competition in week two with a score of 34.

Sara is on Instagram and she has been keeping fans up to date with all the backstage drama.

She shared a video of herself getting her nails done ahead of her Halloween performance.

The star said: “Absolutely LOVE my nails by the super talented @nailsbyheathere. I’m stepping out of my comfort zone a lot this week with our routine and I want to go just as far with my look.

“So, I’ve ditched my safe, neutral nails for this edgier finish, ready to become the Queen of the night on Saturday!”

Following her Rumba last week, she said: “Huge thank you to everyone who voted us through this week! I’ll not lie – the Rumba was definitely the most challenging dance I’ve learnt so far.

“However it has been without doubt the one I’ve enjoyed the most in this whole crazy strictly process. I can’t even begin to tell you how much I’ve loved dancing this week.

“I now understand why these pros make a career out of this! And whilst I have found it massively frustrating not quite managing to get these hips to go where I wanted them to, I’ve felt like the luckiest girl in the world being swept up in the arms of one of the most amazing dancers just losing myself to my all time favourite song.”

Strictly Come Dancing returns on Saturday on BBC One at 7.10pm.
