The Apprentice returns “with a bang” on Thursday as Lord Sugar and Karren Brady are joined by series one winner Tim Campbell in the boardroom. Fans of the BBC series had to wait longer than usual for the competition because of the Covid pandemic but advisor Karren has assured viewers the series will be worth the wait.

Ahead of the series comeback later this year, Karren teased fans with what they can expect when the show returns to screens.

The West Ham vice-chair joined Dermot O’Leary and Alison Hammond on This Morning on Tuesday.

After a trailer for the new series aired, Dermot remarked: “It never disappoints.”

“I like her facial expressions,” Alison commented referring to Karren’s famous reactions to the candidates.

Lord Sugar’s advisor teased: “I can tell you it goes from bad to worse wait till you see this opening episode.

“The Apprentice is back with a bang I can tell you.”

She continued: “Well the opening episode really starts with a bang as Alan sends the candidates off on a cruise ship to brand a cruise experience.

“And, as you see, I’m following the boys team and I have to say it’s an incredible episode, it really is back to its best.”

The businesswoman went on to discuss the challenges coming up later in the series.

She said: “There are some new things. We’ve got a visit from a very familiar-looking tooth fairy when they go and devise a kids toothbrush.

“They’re doing all sorts of other things. They’re inventing a new video game.

“We actually do a tourism task for Wales which involves Europe’s longest zip wire – it’s the longest and highest.”
