The Chase’s Bradley Walsh horrified as contestant shares why she signed up to ITV show

Bradley Walsh was horrified when a contestant on The Chase revealed she was waiting for her cat to die in order to buy a dog.

The 61 year presenter was chatting to new contestant Ramisa about why she signed up to the hit ITV show and was left shocked by her answer.

The 25 year old council officer revealed she was a dog lover and she hoped to win the prize money to buy a pooch of her own.

She began: “I like dogs a lot, I spend a lot of my time research dogs, I like watching dogs, I like playing with dogs.

“I even downloaded this app to dog sit, called myself the dog whisperer, unfortunately no one hired me I don’t know if it was because they were a bit freaked out.”

Bradley asked “ultimately” what she would like to do, as an animal lover he suggested perhaps own a kennel, but the council officer was set on just securing a pet of her own.

“I think I just want to buy a dog,” she replied. “Right now I have a cat and she’s a bit cranky so I’d like to buy a dog in the future.”

Bradley asked if that was in the near future, and the contestant admitted she was waiting for her cat to die first before getting a new pet.

“Well it depends if she dies first,” Ramisa said with a matter-of-fact.

“The cat’s got to peg it before you have a dog?” a gobsmacked Bradley replied, not joining in with the laughter in the audience.

“Exactly,” she replied through a nervous laugh.

If the cat lived for much longer, the contestant admitted she would put the money towards a house deposit to give her feline pal a separate room to live in.

"I'd like to put a deposit down on a house where either my cat is dead and I can get a dog or she has a separate bedroom far far away," she added.

The contestant’s dark aspirations shocked fans as they took to social media to share their surprise.

One wrote: "Nah this girl going on about waiting for her cat to die. #TheChase."

As another penned: "This horrid woman really wants her poor cat to die. #TheChase."

A third added: "I appreciate that she's looking forward to the death of her cat. #TheChase"

One viewer stopped cheering her on after her confession and added: "She needs to lose, the cat hater.”

"I think this girl wants her cat to die a bit too much. #TheChase," another admitted.
