The Masked Singer’s Davina McCall ‘happy’ for her kids to go on Love Island

Davina McCall has revealed she is 'happy' for her grown-up kids to go on Love Island.

The Masked Singer judge, 54, shares three children – Holly, 20, Tilly, 17, and Chester, 15 – with her former husband and Pet Rescue presenter, Matthew Robertson.

She is also currently fronting new Channel 4 dating series The Language of Love which sees British and Spanish contestants try to find a romantic connection across a language barrier and speaking recently, confirmed that she wouldn't be opposed to her own children signing up for a similar series.

Asked whether she'd be happy for her children to go on a show like Love Island once they're of age, Davina said that she would.

Davina also said she would encourage her children to consider the "pros and cons" of signing up for such a reality series.

She told The Sun: "I’d say: 'Fill your boots, but have a think about it – let's talk about the pros and the cons.'

"They can decide, because they’d be over 18 and after that you can only really guide them.

"If they ask my advice, I feel lucky, because I must have done something right if they still value my opinion. I give my kids quite a lot of freedom, but they tend not to use it."

Davina is currently dating her hairdresser and long-time friend Michael Douglas following her separation from former husband Matthew in 2017.

Her Love Island comments follows the former Big Brother presenter previously sharing her relaxed approach to parenting, explaining that she never tells her children no and instead, holds discussions with them.

Davina also recently revealed that she "wouldn't change" her past, despite her well-documented struggles with drug addiction.

The presenter previously battled heroin addiction in her 20s but has since turned her life around.

Speaking to Rylan Clark on the podcast Rylan's Ry-Union, Davina said: "I wouldn't change my past.

"I'm sad I had to go through it but I did learn a lot from it. And it has made me who I am today. And I am a very different person to that girl back then."
