FUNNY woman, Rose Matafeo, has become a popular fixture on the UK comedy circuit.

Since winning an Edinburgh comedy award in 2018, she has gone on to feature in some of the biggest comedy shows on television.

Who is Rose Matafeo?

Rose Matafeo is from Auckland, New Zealand.

The comedian and actress was born on February 25, 1992.

Her father is Samoan while her mother is of Scottish and Croatian descent.

The star had an early start in comedy – having first started stand-up at the tender age of 15.

She started through New Zealand Comedy Trust's Class Comedians programme.

Rose then went on to win the Nailed It On The Night award at the New Zealand International Comedy Festival in 2007.

After her first taste in stand up, her career went from strength to strength as she went on to win the best newcomer award at the 2010 New Zealand International Comedy Festival.

Rose also won the prestigious Billy T Award.

She performed at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe – where she won the main prize at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards in 2018 for her show Horndog.

Rose Matafeo is currently single.

However she used to date English comedian James Acaster between 2015-2016.

As well as a brief relationship with another New Zealand comedian Guy Williams.

Rose plays the character of Jessie in Starstruck.

The HBO TV series was created by Rose herself where she stars alongside Nikesh Patel.

Starstruck follows the life of a millennial who finds herself in an awkward position after hooking up with a film star.
