HIP-HOP has always been a genre that thrives off rapper's creativity, wordplay and flow.
Over time, many rappers have come into the hip-hop world with different personas.
Who is Tina Snow?
A rapper's alter ego differs greatly from person to person, whether it's just an alias to use as they produce beats or a name they make totally different music under.
Such is the case for rapper Megan Thee Stallion, who at times goes by Tina Snow.
The "Hot Girl Summer" rapper first introduced the rap world to her alter ego in the 2018 mixtape, Tina Snow.
Megan Thee Stallion describes Tina Snow as "a more raw version" of herself.
In a 2020 interview on The Zach Sang Show, the rapper explained each of her personalities – saying each of her different personas is reflected in every single music drop.
"Tina Snow is the side of me that’s a little more gangster. She’s just foot-down, f*** y’all!" the rapper said.
Her inspiration for the name was taken from her favorite rapper Pimp C’s alter ego, "Tony Snow."
The tribute reflects how his music influenced her confidence, which her music is known for.
Her song lyrics are mostly sexually explicit and unapologetically confident.
Megan's other alter egos include "Hot Girl Meg," which she adopted for her single Hot Girl Summer ft Nicki Minaj and Ty Dolla Sign in 2019.
On the show, Strahan, Sara, and Keke, the rapper, said that "Hot Girl Meg" was her "party girl, her college girl," not caring about other people’s opinions.
Her newest persona is Suga, named after her EP of the same title.
This ego lets her fans know that it’s ok not to be perfect and to make mistakes.
