Viewers of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire have slammed a contestant for already being a "millionaire" after she appeared on the gameshow.

With Jeremy Clarkson at the helm, the beloved ITV gameshow catapulted back onto our screens tonight (September 10) – but with a huge twist.

The show's new sister programme Fastest Finger First – which has been airing weekday afternoons – sees the fastest finger segment axed from the main show, and the sister show winners appear alongside Jeremy on Saturday nights.

But it isn't the gameshow shake-up that has left fans taken aback – instead it was one contestant named Natalie who left viewers questioning her background.

Taking to Twitter to address Natalie's background, after she revealed she was an entrepreneur and had been to 86 countries, fans flocked to social media in disbelief.

One person said: "Oh come on an entrepreneur does not need to be on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire. She doesn’t need the money! #whowantstobeamillionaire."

To which someone replied: "And been to 86 countries? I can't afford a weekend at Blackpool."

Another person went on to tweet: "Why do #WhoWantsToBeAMillionaire only ever get people who clearly don’t need the money? This woman’s been to 86 countries ffs… I’ve never been anywhere more exotic than Blackpool!!"

"#WhoWantstoBeaMillionaire 86 countries? She's already a millionaire," fumed a fourth.

After Natalie lost out and went home, a fifth said: "#WhoWantsToBeAMillionaire she's rich enough to take any gamble on any money she wants.. Wouldn't make a difference to her… but she doesn't risk it."

This comes after host Jeremy spoke out about one lucky and very clever player who made TV history.

In a recent interview, the anchor was asked if there were any stand-out moments from this latest series.

Jeremy then recalled the “biggest drop” in TV history.

He said: "I think we’ve had our biggest ever drop. Somebody went up to £125,000 without a safety net and – can I say this? – f***ed it up."
