Amber Alert issued in NYC for Mi Angel Gaines, 9 months, who's 'in danger of death' after being snatched in Harlem

POLICE in New York City have issued an Amber Alert for a nine-month-old girl who was reportedly abducted in the early hours of the morning.

Mi Angel Gaines was allegedly taken by Antonio Armstrong, 22, on Frederick Douglass Boulevard near 131st Street in Harlem, Manhattan, at around 2.30am on Monday.


According to the NYPD, Mi Angel was “taken under circumstances that lead police to believe that they are in imminent danger of serious harm and/or death.”

The young girl was last seen wearing a red, white and blue onesie, police said.

She has long black hair, brown eyes and is approximately 15 inches tall, and weighs 19 pounds.

Armstrong, who is 5-foot-10 and about 200 pounds, has a tattoo on his neck of a microphone.

His connection to the young girl is currently unclear.

Police have released images of both Armstrong and Mi Angel and are appealing for the public's help.
