Moment women slap each other in face in hair-pulling fight as tensions flare outside pub

THIS is the shocking moment a mass brawl erupted outside a boozer as pubs re-opened across England.

Footage shows two women slapping each other and yanking at their rival's hair as tensions flared in a riverside beer garden.

The yobs began fighting after a separate brawl broke out between a group of men outside the King's Arms pub in York city centre.

They could be seen grappling on the ground as stunned pub-goers stop drinking to catch the action.

After the women are pulled away from the fight, they begin wrestling each other as the brawl edges closer to the river.

One – wearing fluffy slipper-style shoes – then slaps the second woman in the face before they both grab at each other's hair.

She manages to pull her enemy to the cobbled ground before slightly stumbling to stay upright herself.

The group is then moved away from the pub following the scuffle at round 7.45pm yesterday.

The footage was posted on Facebook yesterday by a horrified viewer with the caption: "Thts Disgusting in York we are going to have another lockdown".

North Yorkshire Police confirmed they were scrambled to city centre brawl.

A spokesperson said: "A man in his 40s was injured, and taken to hospital for treatment.

"The investigation is ongoing, including CCTV enquiries.

"Anyone who witnessed the incident, and has not already spoken to police, is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 12210096720."

The violence came as thousands of thirsty Brits flocked to pubs as they reopened for the first time in months yesterday.

Huge queues were seen outside boozers across the country with revellers partying in the street despite the chilly weather.

But an expert has warned Boris Johnson's roadmap out of lockdown could be delayed because the UK faces a fresh Covid surge as restrictions ease.
