Police make urgent appeal to find 12-year-old boy who went missing overnight in sub-zero temperatures

  • Moziah has been described as 4ft 9ins tall, of slim build and with short black hair 

Police have launched an urgent appeal to find a 12-year-old boy who went missing overnight in sub-zero temperatures.

Moziah, 12, was last seen yesterday evening at his home in Handsworth, Birmingham and has been described as around 4ft 9in tall and of slim build.  

The schoolboy has short black hair and was last seen wearing a black coat and white Nike Air Force trainers.

Birmingham Police posted the appeal on Twitter at around 4pm on November 28.

They said: ‘Have you seen Moziah? He’s missing from his home in the Handsworth area of Birmingham. 

The 12-year-old is about 4ft 9in tall, of slim build with short, black hair. He was last seen wearing a black coat with white Nike Air Force trainers.’

This news comes as the Met Office issued an amber weather warning – meaning lives are in danger – for northeast Scotland and England as well as yellow weather warnings over the weekend. 

Temperatures in the UK at this time of year usually average a daily high of 10C and a low of 4C, but plummeted across the UK, and reached below freezing overnight in Birmingham.
