I'm a sales assistant and always know when men are cheating on their wives at Christmas thanks to one huge giveaway | The Sun

ONE of the main parts of Christmas is gift giving and treating family and friends to something special.

But a former sales assistant explained that there's one present men always buy and it's a dead giveaway that they're cheating on their wives.

Shannon Hill often shares celebrity news on her TikTok account, but recently she revealed how she knew when men were up to no good at her old job.

Since she used to work at the posh sales counter in a Chanel store, Shannon got her fair share of men buying Christmas presents.

"I have got a little story, a little tea for you guys if you will, about what husbands buy for not only their wife but their mistresses too," she told viewers.

It turns out men would often come into the high-end shop and buy skincare, lipstick and a fragrance for their wives.

"whatever it was we had it all on file," she explained.

But a few sneaky men would buy an extra gift as well.

Shannon said: "They would buy their wife her favourite fragrance, they would get it all wrapped really nicely and then they would buy the same fragrance for their mistress.

"Because guess what, they did not want to leave their mistress' house smelling like a different woman."

According to the ex sales assistant all the workers figured it out very quickly.

There was even one fragrance that the cheating men were more likely to buy.

She said: "It was always, always the same fragrance. It was Coco Mademoiselle perfume.

"It was never Number Five because people come in and buy that for their mom. It was never the Chance perfumes. It was always Coco Mademoiselle.

"Us counter girls, we always have the tea.”

Shannon added that she wanted to "slip up" and tell the wives sometimes, but never did.

Other retail workers had similar experiences, one commented: "I worked in high-end jewellery for years, husbands did the same thing.

"It was always funny to see the mistress come in after Christmas and exchange it."
