'The Voice' Fans Are Really Worried About Blake Shelton Leaving After Seeing New TikTok

After 10 years on The Voice, coach Blake Shelton has become a fan favorite. But after seeing a recent TikTok video of Blake celebrating his time on the show, fans are now wondering (and worrying) about his future on the NBC competition series.

On October 26, host Carson Daly announced that it was the show’s 500th episode, and the special moment called for cake and pictures. It was even more monumental for Blake, who has been been a coach on The Voice since the show’s premiere in 2011. Needless to say, he enjoyed the occasion through and through, including having a rather large piece of cake.

“I’ve been here for 500 episodes. I’ve earned it,” he told his fellow Voice coaches as he ate cake in a fun TikTok video. “I’ll be out there in a minute.”

While Kelly Clarkson, John Legend and Ariana Grande let him enjoy his dessert, fans began getting noticeably worried. Some wondered if this episode milestone meant Blake was one step closer to leaving The Voice.

“If Blake doesn’t come back I’ll stop watching for sure,” one person wrote in the TikTok comments section. “If they let him go I’ll never watch again,” another added. “Blake makes the show. If he’s not on I won’t watch anymore,” a different fan said. “If he leaves [the] show won’t be the same. He makes the show, it’s why millions watch. His humor is attractive,” a follower commented.

Guess what y’all?! It’s the 500th episode of @nbcthevoice tonight!! I’m gonna have my cake and eat it too #TheVoice pic.twitter.com/11JNv7t3uL

On the other hand, there were fans who were only concerned about Blake eating all that cake. “I LOVE THIS SO MUCH!!!! I just love Blake Shelton!!! 😂😂,” someone else wrote. “He’s a mood 😂😂,” another quipped.

All that said, it’s understandable that folks are concerned about Blake leaving. Earlier this year, he told Today show cohost Hoda Kotb that he and his now-wife, Gwen Stefani, are ready to enjoy more of a private life and step away from the spotlight.

“I hope that’s not too far down the road,” Blake said while reflecting on his decade on The Voice. “Ten years sounds like way too long to me. I’d like to see that sooner than later.”

Of course, Blake hasn’t made any formal announcements, so fans shouldn’t be worried. Instead, we all should be more like Blake and focus on celebrating The Voice (with lots of cake, of course).
