It’s proving to be a long and cold winter, but we’ve finally got a text. That’s right, Love Island is officially back for a second winter series, and with its return comes a whole new group of Islanders. But the contestants are the only new additions to the villa – this year, the Love Island glam room is also seeing some newcomers.
Boots returns at the villa beauty stockist, which means there’s plenty of hair, make-up and skincare choices for the Islanders. This year, however, the retailer is treating them to a bit of added luxury in the form of some of its more high-end brands that haven’t previously been available in the glam room.
So, from the brand that makes Meghan Markle’s favourite foundation to an iconic skincare brand that stocks a cleansing balm loved by the likes of Catherine Zeta-Jones and Molly-Mae Hague, here are the villa beauty bombshells you might spy on your screen this season.
So what’s new for 2023?
Armani make-up is set to take pride of place in the glam room this season. We’re not quite sure how many products from the brand’s expansive range will be available to the contestants, but we do know that Meghan Markle’s go-to Luminous Silk foundation – the one she reportedly wore to her wedding – will be in the line-up.

This British brand is finally getting its moment in the sun. Islanders will be treated to products like the iconic Cleansing Balm, £46 here – perfect for quickly removing all traces of make-up after an evening party. With celebrity fans ranging from A-listers to former Love Island stars, we predict this is going to be one of the hottest brands in the villa this year.
Love Island super fans might recall that Dyson was the hair tool stockist of last year’s summer season. Now, it's the turn of Shark. We’re waiting for official confirmation on other heat styling brands in the beauty room, but for now we can say the Shark Style IQ hair dryer and styler, £179.99 here – which has been called a “rival” for Dyson's £300 Supersonic hair dryer – will make waves (literally) this year.
Sol de Janeiro
This TikTok-popular brand has a cult following amongst beauty experts and influencers, and now it’s bringing Brazilian confidence to the bodies of our new Islanders. Keep an eye out for a little yellow pot of Bum Bum Cream, from £20 here, and the Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Glossy Nourishing Anti-Frizz Hair Oil, £33 here.
