Kim Jones took Bruce Arians’ slogan to heart ahead of Super Bowl 2021.
The former Yankees clubhouse reporter plunged backward into a pool in a black top and slacks at the Buccaneers’ team hotel in Tampa, Florida.
“Bruce Arians says, ‘No risk it, no biscuit,’ which I’ve decided to take to heart,” she said during NFL Network’s “Game Day Morning: Super Bowl LV” show. “A cannonball into this pool seems like the best place to start!”
Jones, 51, executed more of a pencil dive than a traditional cannonball, though her efforts were received highly by the in-studio analysts and over Twitter.
“That’s commitment right there to doing the job right,” retired Cowboys great-turned-NFL analyst Michael Irvin said as the rest of the studio applauded.
“Kim!!!!!!” NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport wrote in a quote-tweet in support of his colleague with an animated image of a judge flashing a perfect ten.
“Kim gives new meaning to “Super Bowl pool report” !!!” Red Zone’s Andrew Siciliano tweeted.
“Does anyone have mascara remover? ?#NoRiskItNoBiscuit #sblv #my2020seasonisover,” Jones tweeted.
Jones began her media career with The Star-Ledger in New Jersey covering the Giants and NFL. The Pennsylvania native worked for YES Network from 2005 to 2012 before joining NFL Network as a full-time, on-air contributor. She also co-hosts “Monday Night Live” on WFAN radio in New York City.
