Man Utd star Amad Diallo set to join Feyenoord on season-long loan transfer to gain more first-team experience

AMAD DIALLO is set for a season in Holland after a deal was reportedly struck to send the Manchester United winger on loan to Feyenoord.

The Dutch club finished fifth in last season's Eredivisie and have won both of their opening games in the new campaign.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer recently revealed that the Ivorian, 19, will be going out on loan.

The arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo and Jadon Sancho have knocked Diallo down in the pecking order after he made eight appearances last season.

After spending the summer at the Olympics with Ivory Coast, he is now preparing to earn first-team experience away from Old Trafford.

Feyenoord have agreed a loan deal with United and the move will go ahead when Diallo gives his consent, according to transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano.

Sheffield United had been linked with a move for the youngster, along with Crystal Palace and Basel.

Red Devils boss Solskjaer has described his 'excitement' at seeing Diallo develop his game in the next 12 months.

The Norwegian told MUTV: "Yes I do [expect him to go out on loan].

"It’s not 100 per cent signed but we’ve agreed.

"I don’t have to say which team it is yet, but we’ve found a place that Amad feels excited about and we feel excited about."
