Dan Walker announced last month he would be stepping down from his role as host of Football Focus after 12 years in the hot seat. Since then, there have been plenty of big names thrown into the mix as to who could fill his shoes. However, on Saturday BBC Sport shared the exciting news that Alex Scott would be taking on the role.
Taking to its official Twitter account, BBC Sport shared a video clip of Alex, along with the caption “Presenter announcement”.
“We’re delighted to confirm @AlexScott is the new host of Football Focus,” the tweet began.
“Alex has a message to share with the viewers and @MrDanWalker as he prepares to leave after 12 years.”
