Benidorm fans thrilled as show stars set for reunion in show’s iconic location

Benidorm fans are in for a treat as the show’s creator gears up to reunite the cast for a special event hosted in November.

Fans of the ITV show have the chance to experience life in the Benidorm resort – just as the characters on the show did – and can look forward to meeting the actors that starred in the iconic show at BeniCon.

The series, first broadcast in 2007, was a parody of British holidaymakers and the antics they get up to in the popular Spanish seaside town.

The official BeniCon Instagram shared a post which read: “Another Garvey confirmed for BeniCon. So excited to share that Oliver Stokes, who played Michael Garvey, is confirmed for BeniCon this November 18-20th 2022. Hmm…will Steve Pemberton join us now to reunite the whole original Garvey family?”

They then urged fans to visit the BeniCon website or book their hotel packages which includes tickets.

Ollie posted the news on his own profile and wrote in the caption that he will “see all the fans in November” and told them how to get hold of “tickets and info”.

Fans went wild in the comments and couldn’t contain their excitement for the upcoming event.

One wrote: “Omg, I’ve so got to come to this,” with clapping emojis.

Others called him a “legend,” “awesome” and told him “well done” with thumbs up and smiling emojis.

Another typed: “Was hoping this would happen,” and another added that the Garvey family actors were “legends of Benidorm”.

The official BeniConTV Instagram account has been keeping fans updated on the event and recently informed followers that “accommodation is getting full up throughout Benidorm”.

Another confirmed actor that will be attending BeniCon is the legendary Sheila Reid, who played Madge Harvey in the ITV series.

The Instagram profile assured fans that they are “working on ways to incorporate the beautiful Old Town” into their BeniCon experience, where “lots of Benidorm scenes were filmed” and allegedly the “best tapas in the world”.

Another snap of the famous Benidorm pool was posted to “tempt” viewers to “imagine lying by the pool and partying with the cast and crew” while it is “wet and miserable at home”.

They went on to say that BeniCon will be an “absolutely unique event” hosted by series creator and writer Darren Litten.
