Bradley Walsh wasn't exactly met with an eruption of laughter from his chaser co-stars as he made an awkward quip on Beat The Chasers.

His joke landed during the cash builder round when contestant Usman was met with the question; What is said to be rattled if someone is annoyed?

Usman respectfully gave the correct answer which was "cage" as Bradley lunged in.

Using one of the other answers on the grid, Bradley said: "I've had a lot of people annoy me by rattling my snake I'll tell you."

However, some Twitter fans did find Bradley's humour quite funny and took to their keyboards to share the jibe.

One online user said: "Rattling my snake lol #BeatTheChasers."

Meanwhile, on the Wednesday's show the five chasers, better known as The Vixen, The Dark Destroyer, The Beast, The Governess and newest member The Menace, came up against one of their toughest contestants yet.

Caroline claimed to be an amateur and was extremely nervous and worried that she wouldn't make it past the first question.
