Dan Walker reveals huge life changing impact of horror bike crash | The Sun

DAN Walker has revealed the huge life changing impact of his horror bike crash.

The Channel 5 News presenter, 46, was rushed to hospital when he came off his bike on the way into work.

Dan was hit by a car at a busy roundabout back in February and later revealed his helmet saved his life.

Camera footage of the terrifying ordeal showed him thrown off and into the path of the car while his bike was crushed.

Police and paramedics were called to the scene by concerned onlookers.

He was left battered, bruised and bloody but thankfully he broke no bones.

However, Dan has now revealed he sustained nerve damage from the smash.

Speaking about the aftermath, he said: "I landed on my right hip really, really heavily and I jolted my back a bit, so I've got nerve damage down the right side of my body."

He continued to tell the Express: "Every time I get out of a car, it takes me about two minutes to get my legs kicking into gear."

Dan, who previously hosted BBC Breakfast alongside Sally Nugent, had said he had "no memory" of the crash.
