EastEnders fans reckon they have twigged when Bobby Brazier is making a return to the soap – and it’s not good news.
The actor, 20, joined the cast in 2022 playing Freddie Slater and has become a firm favourite with viewers since. The son of the late Jade Goody has even bagged an NTA award for his role on the BBC soap.
However, in October Bobby exited the show in emotional scenes. As fans will remember, Freddie was arrested, and later released on bail, for the attempted murder of Theo Hawthorne (William Ellis).

This week, the full line-up of the Strictly Come Dancing 2024 tour was revealed. The likes of Angela Scanlon, Krishnan Guru-Murthy and Ellie Leach will be strutting their stuff across arenas next year.
Bobby is also one of the 2024 stars taking part in the 30 sparkle-filled shows kicking off in January 2024. But due to Bobby now taking part in the Strictly tour next year. fans think it will postpone his return to EastEnders. On X, formerly known as Twitter, one person said: “Good for Bobby. Bad for EastEnders lol.”
They added: “Guess we won’t see Freddie till April at the earliest.” Someone else added: “My bet is he won’t be back for a while.”

The track, This Woman’s Work by Maxwell, left a lasting impression on Bobby when he was a young boy. Explaining the significance of the song, Bobby said before the show: "To me, this song is just perfect. My dad used to play it when I was young, maybe about eight or nine, and it was really impactful for me."
Bobby continued: "The lyrics are really profound. Maxwell sings, ‘I should be crying, but I just can’t let it show’, and when I was younger, I’d never cry… I’d never let myself feel vulnerable enough.
"Those lyrics were the only thing that did make me cry because I knew they were so true. At the time, it was easier to be angry or resentful or fearful. I have definitely learned to let go of the anger now. I don’t want to be angry. Why would I?"
