  • EastEnders fans are worried about Linda Carter after her mum Elaine Peacock joined Albert Square.

Linda blindsided her pal Sharon after going into business with her mum instead, but now fans think she may live to regret it after spotting signs that things aren't going to go too smoothly.

In Monday night's episode, fans spotted Elaine making even more changes at The Queen Vic – which included moving the crisps, hunting for the person who broke into the pub and taking Alfie off the rota.

Already it's causing tension between Linda and her mum as she told her: "This isn't just your pub mum. It is mine too. I don't need you interfering with the rota or moving my crisps."

Once Linda's mum agreed she added: "Look I'm sorry if I've been hard on you. It's going to take some getting used to, running a pub with someone else."

Elaine then cut her off and said she doesn't care about the little problems but wants to get to the bottom of who broke into the pub.

But while Elaine and Linda were busy arguing, fans couldn't help but notice Elaine is acting strangely around Linda – and from an announcement from the BBC weeks prior, they also know that more people are joining the Square.

One user wrote: "Poor Linda thinking it's just her and her mum. Is Linda going to get shafted by her?"

Linda, who told her mum she risked "everything" to bring her mum to the square and "trashed" her friendship with Sharon, is set to get more of a surprise when her family shows up.

Elaine reaffirmed to Linda it was "just the two of us", but a big shocker is coming.

As users shared their concern, one person wrote: "Her mum is going to move her family in and take over. Linda will have no say in what goes on, plus Elaine will get rid of Alfie who, although I'm not a fan, it good behind the bar and is good for Linda."

While another said: "It’s going to be rubbish! She will take over and I want Linda and Alfie behind the bar!"

A third added: "She's already been shafted by her own mother. Should have stuck with Sharon."
