EastEnders return confirmed for rapist Graham as the Slater family are shocked

The Slater family are set to be left shocked in EastEnders by the return of evil rapist Graham Foster (Alex McSweeney) in upcoming episodes, as Freddie Slater (Bobby Brazier) grows determined to find his real dad.

Though Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) refuses to tell Freddie who his real dad is, it isn’t long before Tommy Moon (Sonny Kendall) has overheard his name and told Freddie himself.

When Freddie’s research leads him to a car dealership website, complete with a contact number, he is thrilled to be one step closer to finding his dad, completely unaware of the kind of man he really is.

Viewers will know that Freddie’s mum, Little Mo Slater (Kacey Ainsworth), fell pregnant with him after being raped by evil Graham.

Not wanting to betray Little Mo’s trust, Kat chooses not to tell Freddie this, and the lie she tells instead does nothing to put him off finding his biological father.

Having found his telephone number, Freddie enlists best friend Bobby Beale’s (Clay Milner Russell) help to organise a clandestine meeting between the two of them.

‘He finds out that his dad works at a car dealership so Freddie wants to get him sussed beforehand and also have a chance to see him,’ actor Bobby Brazier explained.

‘He understands that telling him “I’m your son” before meeting him might have meant that he couldn’t have gone to see him in the first place so he comes up with a plan to say that he’s interested in buying a car so he can buy that time with his dad before dropping the bombshell and telling him “I’m your son”.’

Having put their plan in place, Freddie heads off to meet his dad, and is overwhelmed when he comes face to face with Graham, who was last seen on-screen in 2005, for the first time.

Meanwhile, Kat, Billy Mitchell (Perry Fenwick) and Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) all grow concerned when they realise what Freddie is up to, and they embark on a mission to track him down.

Speaking about his return to EastEnders, actor Alex McSweeney said: ‘I was grateful to be asked back to EastEnders to reprise the role of Graham Foster as I thought it was important for Freddie Slater to be given some answers about his dad.

‘It was great to be back in Elstree and I thoroughly enjoyed working with the talented Bobby Brazier on these scenes.’
