Good Morning Britain star Laura Tobin was bursting with pride on Wednesday as she revealed that her daughter has started school.
The 39-year-old weather presenter told ITV viewers watching at home how Charlotte, four, enjoyed her first day in school on Tuesday, having been born extremely prematurely.
Charlotte was born at 27 weeks in July 2017 weighing 2lb 8oz.
Speaking to co-star Sean Fletcher before she delivered the weather forecast for the day ahead, Laura couldn't resist sharing a photo of her little girl in her primary school uniform.
The proud mum gushed: "I think it's a little more special than most people starting school, viewers are aware that she was born really prematurely.
"She was born just before 28 weeks in July, it should have been October, so she was born in the completely wrong school year.
"I guess we always thought she'd start school next year, September 2022, you can defer a child in that situation. But they're so happy with her progress and how she's doing, she started almost a year early."
Laura continued: "So we are just so proud of her, she ran in and had two and a half hours, day off today, back tomorrow. A wonderful, wonderful day."
The ITV star shared the same snap on her Instagram page the day before and wrote: "She has blown us all away with how she has developed, she is amazing, kind and clever and here we are staring school 'early'
"I didn’t dare dream about this day when she was born but now it’s reality-I’m a very proud mummy."
Laura doesn't often share photos of her daughter on social media, with the star sharing her little girl with husband Dean Brown.
The metrologist left GMB fans in shock last week as she presented her weather segment on a rollercoaster at Thorpe Park.
Laura was left red-faced as she desperately tried to protect her modesty after wearing a dress on the ride – with host Ben Shephard admitting he felt "quite uncomfortable" watching the feature,
She donned a blue floral midi dress and trainers for the ride, and nearly flashed viewers as she went upside down while strapped into the ride.
After the ride ended, Laura laughed: 'This is brilliant, this is my actual job, it's the best job in the world and the other good news is there's sunshine the way.
'My hair held out as well, I didn't lose my shoes and I didn't show you my pants so win-win.'
