Love Island viewers were left doing a double take at their TV screens as they thought an ex-Islander was making a bombshell return.

The hit ITV2 show was back for another instalment of our fave islanders cracking on in the famous Majorca villa.

And joining the sexy singletons were two new bombshells, Scottish beauty Mal Nicol and semi-pro footballer Montel McKenzie, both 25.

Jumping straight in, the new arrivals had to go on dates with recently single Islanders Jess, Mitch, Sammy and Leah.

But viewers of the show couldn’t help but point out Mal’s resemblance to the former contestant and 2023 Winter series star Layla.

Rushing to Twitter, one person proclaimed: “ngl but Mal reminds me of Layla from last season.”

A second agreed: “Is it just me or is she a double of Layla from winter season??”

“They could be twins,” said someone else, as a fourth quipped: “I think Mal looks like Layla from the winter series.”

Echoing their thoughts, another person penned: "Mal is a copy and paste of Layla from Casa Amor last year."

Mal is the ex of last year’s Islander and Scottish hunk Jay Younger – who ended things before he jetted off to find love in the villa.

Now it is Malissa's turn to find romance – with the stunner seeming to have the feels for Mitch so far on the show.
