Married at First Sight’s Ben Jardine says the show is ‘worse than Big Brother’

The Married at First Sight star revealed in a recent interview with the Daily Star that cameras were on him constantly throughout the hit Channel 4 show.

Ben Jardine, 36, married Stephanie Saint Remy on the show and has since said the experience was like a "pressure cooker".

The Celebrity Big Brother star said he felt he was under scrutiny whilst he was on the show.

Speaking about his experience, Ben said: "The camera is right there, it's worse than Big Brother!"

Ben has had a lot of experience on both shows. After he appeared on MAFS UK in 2017, he went on to appear on Celebrity Big Brother in 2018.

Ben didn't admit to regretting his time on the show, in fact, he said: "Hands off to anyone who’s given it a go. You’ve got to have a lot of courage to go into a show like that."

He added: "It’s all blooming real. It don’t seem real."

Ben went onto say: "The producers want it to work, they put a lot of effort in."

However, Ben did say he would stay wary of Nikita if he was on this year's show.

He said: "I think Nikita would have been a deal-breaker. She’s very vocal I feel sorry for Ant."

Although Ben and Steph didn't find lasting love, Ben is now happy and focusing on his career in boxing.

He recently challenged ex-Love Island star Jack Fincham – ex-boyfriend of Dani Dyer – to a fight.

Ben has also been rumoured to have been dating MAFS Australia star, Ines Basic, 31.

The reality TV star claimed Ines slid into his DMs back in February.

After being questioned, Ben said: "I can't say too much," but giggled when shown a racy picture of Ines.

Although Ben didn't find love on the show, he was proud of the way he acted: "At the end of the day, I was always very honest behind the scenes of how I felt.

"You learn a lot about someone when people don’t get what they want and that shows the true person.

"You can be very frustrated but life’s life."

He also said that the only way to fail would have been not to try.

Ben added: "I hope someone falls in love and not lost liked myself."
