Tom Parker's widow Kelsey to explore grief for powerful new documentary

Tom Parker’s widow Kelsey is making a new ITV documentary about her grief.

The Wanted singer died aged 33 in March 2022 after being diagnosed with a brain tumour in 2020.

Kelsey and their two children, Aurelia, three, and Bodhi, two, will feature in the six episode series for ITVBe which will follow Parker’s family as they learn to navigate through life without him.

She will also speak to others going through the grieving process and have shared a similar experience, including some famous faces.

Kelsey will also explore death cafes, and grief yoga and other methods of coming to terms with loss.

The miniseries will be made by the same team who brought us Caring For Derek, which followed Kate Garraway looking after her husband Derek Draper who was left bed bound and in need of constant care after an extreme case of Covid.

‘Continuing our commitment to bring viewers real-life stories, we are privileged to have Kelsey bravely share her experience after the passing of her husband, Tom,’ said ITV’s commissioning editor, Amanda Stavri.

‘Kelsey has allowed cameras into her home to follow her very own personal journey with grief, in the hope it helps others.’

On Friday, Kelsey marked six months to the day since Parker’s death but said ‘you’re still here in everything we do’.

She added: ‘Holding onto the knowledge that to be loved is everything and we loved hard.

‘I would say I do to you a million times over. I love you Tom.’

Kelsey also recently shared that the pop star still sends her ‘signals’ to show her he is still with her.

She told ITV’s Loose Women that there’s ‘always a sign’, like the time she was having a gossip with her friends, and she saw a white feather flutter down.

‘We went to Soho Farmhouse for my friend’s hen… we were all gossiping and on the balcony was a white feather and I was like, “Of course he’s here picking up all the gossip”,’ she said.

‘I kept saying to Tom out loud, “Please make it sunny on Saturday” and the sun was shining, but it was forecast to rain all day.’
