Tony or Zara? Hollyoaks reveals who wins the election

Tony Hutchinson (Nick Pickard) and Zara Morgan (Kelly Condron) go head-to-head in upcoming Hollyoaks scenes, as the day of the election results finally arrives.

The duo, as viewers know, have been competing for a position on the local council, with both offering a very different picture of what the village would look like if they were to win.

After months of hard-fought battles, it all comes down to this, with Election Day arriving at the end of this week.

Scott Drinkwell (Ross Adams), however, gets stuck in traffic, causing a delay, but Cindy Cunningham (Stephanie Waring) steps up her game, as she offers to take over as Zara’s campaign manager.

Cindy, however, soon starts to advise her candidate to play dirty!

Zara refuses to do so, and instead decides on a different approach, as she delivers an impassioned speech on her intention to make Hollyoaks a dementia-friendly village.

Tony, meanwhile, starts to worry that he might not be the man for the job.

In fact, he comes to believe that Zara deserves the position, and selflessly decides to drop out.

Zara, however, wants to win fair and square, and thus advises Tony against quitting. Tony, therefore, devises a plan to deliberately sabotage his campaign.

Scott, out of the blue, shows up in Bonnie Tyler drag, singing: “I Need A Zara!”, because why not?

If that wasn’t enough, he decides to treat the village to an almighty dance routine, in a bid to get Zara more election votes, and Tony even joined in on all the fun!

You honestly don’t want to miss this.

After the performance, the results are in.

The question is: has Tony’s campaign been damaged enough to ensure that his voters instead choose Zara?

What’s more, will Zara’s heartfelt speech have secured her the victory?

Only time will tell.
