RACHEL Stevens fans were thrilled when the singer announced she was taking part in Dancing On Ice.
However, on January 19, 2021 it was revealed the S Club 7 star will NOT be performing this weekend (January 23, 2022)
Why is Rachel Stevens out of Dancing on Ice?
Rachel has dropped out of the show for one week after fracturing her wrist.
The 43-year-old was due to skate alongside Brendyn Hatfield but has been forced to pull out after falling on the ice during training and sustaining the injury.
A Dancing On Ice rep said: "Due to an injury sustained in training and on the expert advice from the Dancing on Ice medical professionals, Rachel Stevens will not skate in this Sunday's show. We look forward to her returning to the show next weekend."
Rachel will now skate for the first time in the competition in Week 3 on Sunday January 30, 2022.
What has Rachel said about her injury?
Rachel is yet to speak publicly about her injury.
However, prior to taking part,former S Club 7 opened up about her fears for the show asshe described herself as a "perfectionist" and "naturally competitive".

She admitted she is terrified of one thing – the infamous Headbanger.
The risky move sees skaters swinging their partner's around by their feet, with their heads skimming dangerous close to the ice.
Rachel admitted: "The headbanger fills me with fear.
"I’m fine with heights but it's one of those things, until you actually do it you don’t know. I have no idea how I'm going to be and how I’m going to feel.
"All I know is, I want to go for it and have fun. That's the thing. I’ve always been quite a perfectionist but with this I really want to go for it.
"It's about having a laugh and having fun learning a new skill along the way."
Who else has left Dancing on Ice?
It comes after it was revealed that Bez has also been forced to miss this weekend's show (January 23, 2022) after testing positive for Covid.
The Happy Monday's star is the first celebrity to wear a helmet on the ice after taking a tumble during rehearsals.
Over the years there has been a number of serious injuries on the show, with a few celebrities sustaining lasting issues.
